So i’ll explain the song above, i heard it on Empire last night partly. And then after listening to it today i listened to it again and again as i pounded out a workout on the elliptical machiine. There is an ex i have missed so much that i havent seen in a long time. And my thoughts turned to said ex as i heard that song. Not sure what that means or not. But it has me thinking and wondering. The title of the blog post speaks to something i’ve been thinking about and thats a biblical verse that referred to folks being Eunich’s for the Kingdom of God.
Matthew 19:12 “For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.”
I feel like i am called to that sometimes. That God placed me on earth to serve him alone. And to sacrifice my ideas of what i want with marriage, career, etc and just serve the Kingdom of Heaven. That is a battle i have daily because i hear songs like the one above, and love swells in my breasts and i think of what shoulda coulda woulda been. Makes me wonder where that person is in life. Makes me wonder if they are happy, i hope they are. So in my life i’m mostly doing missionary work. And i’m having a blast. Serving with the elders and teaching folks is pretty neat and doing what i do for family history is amazing. I’m able to help out alot of people including my fellow missionaries in training. I’m almost a leader, being called upon to help others when they have problems. And i love to be able to be of service. So now i think that maybe this is where i should be and that alone. So i no longer sell tupperware. I think that i’m going to focus on that because through that i’ve begun to grow. I’ve begun to look inside and i see some flaws i need to fix. Whoever my soulmate is, will be lucky because i’ll be all fixed up when i begin dating her if its the next life, or if it be God’s will this life i’ll be all buffed out and half way fixed mentally and spiritually because none of us can get perfect.
Black LDS Corner
This will be a new segment on my blog weekly where i discuss things that someone asked me or that i came across as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. So here we go!
“The Book of Mormon cant be true because in Revelation it states that if anyone adds or takes away from the bible that the curses of Revelation will be on them (Rev 22:19), and y’all just adding to the bible.” – Yolanda S.
I’m thankful i heard this common misconception. What you need to know is that Revelation was written as a separate book by John the Revelator. As a matter of fact each book in the bible is a seperate book. The Pauline Epistles for instance were letters to specific churches in the world and were sent as such. Only at the Council of Nicea in 325 AD were the books decided that would comprise the bible and then assembled into what we call the old and new testaments today. Also if we read the book in context he stated that the curses of that book would be added unto them. Were talking about all the curses from the book of Revelation not the bible.
